Ages 11 - 16
We offer our senior members, aged 11 to 16, the opportunity to develop their creative, personal and social skill through practical weekly sessions that take place on Tuesdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. In these sessions, they explore and develop skills in musical theatre and performance. We place a great emphasis on teamwork-based skills that develop confidence and encourage self-expression.
Our senior youth theatre members have the opportunity to take part in at least three shows each year which comprise of full- scale musical productions devised and scripted studio-based performances, musical concerts and performances at local festivals and events. These shows are open to the public and are usually performed at one of our three theatre venues: the Oak Theatre, the Acorn Studio and the Great Barn.
Our senior members are encouraged to progress into the TFT Youth Associates group when ready at 16, usually during the transition from school to college.

TYT Drama meet weekly on Saturday mornings at The Titchfield Festival Theatre and provide excellent tuition in all areas of Stagecraft and Drama, which is delivered by very experienced tutors.
TYT Drama is for young people aged 8 to 16 years old who wish to develop their drama skills in a fun creative environment, working together as an ensemble which teaches them commitment and gives them confidence in themselves to create and connect with others.
We are a Youth Theatre which concentrates on Drama and Acting. Each session involves drama games, improvisation, theatre skills and script work leading up to a final performance.
There is a great emphasis on fun and the development of their acting skills, with the children enjoying the weekly sessions showing their enthusiasm throughout. They thoroughly enjoy performing and when they do, they are very disciplined in their approach and an absolute credit to themselves.
We aim to do three productions in the school year usually one in Spring (March/April), one in the Summer (July) and one in the Autumn (Oct/Nov), and on occasion some smaller performances, which can be workshop based, throughout the year to showcase what they have been learning.
All the children are involved in these.
These productions give our youngsters the opportunity to play a wide range of parts in a supportive and creative environment and these take place at the TFT venues which are The Acorn Studio Theatre, the main Oak Theatre and the historical Great Barn.
The original ethos of TYT very much remains today as when it was first set up in 2008.
Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
